Join Team Barracuda!
DO YOU WANT TO BE A BARRACUDA?!
DO YOU WANT TO “RIP UP CANCER” AND LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND?
THEN JOIN THE BARRACUDAS TEAM AT FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH!
The BARRACUDA’s are people who would like to join the church’s team for RELAY FOR LIFE for the American Cancer Society. Our church created a team in order to have an active role in the fight against cancer. The RELAY FOR LIFE of Laurel is a group of teams that raise money and awareness about the fight against cancer. The monies raised go to the American Cancer Society for research and support services for cancer survivors. The final event occurs in June at McCullough Field with an all night relay (we walk around in circles!) with fun events, fundraising, and a ceremony that helps honor and remember cancer survivors.
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Laurel is beginning its preparation for the annual all night relay to raise money and awareness for the fight against all cancers.
The Relay for Life of Laurel this year is on Saturday, June 7, 2014 – Sunday, June 8, 2014.
Teams set up camps, decorate, celebrate and then walk all night for those who can no longer fight and for those who continue the battle everyday.
First United Methodist Church has its own relay team called the BARRACUDAS and we need team members! Everyone relays for different reasons. It’s personal and every story touches the heart. If you want to make become a team member, make a donation, or learn more about Laurel’s Relay go to: www.relayforlifelaurel.org.
REMEMBER: When joining or donating to the team – be sure to click on the BARRACUDAS‘ team name!
