New Believers: The Whole Gospel (2 Timothy 4:1-2, 2 Timothy 2:24-26)

Rev. Dr. Ramon E. McDonald II, March 5, 2017
Part of the New Believers series, preached at a Sunday Morning Contemporary service

One thing we find out, as our faith matures, is that we need to be students of the whole gospel, not just the parts that sound good to us. As we mature in our faith walk, we need to follow all that God tells us in the Bible and not just the parts we like.

2 Timothy 4:1-2

4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. (ESV)

2 Timothy 2:24-26

24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. (ESV)
